My name is Patrick McKitrick.
Whilst still in my 20’s I was Managing Partner with Korn/Ferry International, which at that time was the world’s largest Executive Search firm.
Following this valuable introduction to search I pursued a successful career in the media sector, initially as General Manager for Northern Europe with the UK’s largest commercial television company Thames Television plc. Subsequently I was responsible for Radio & TV Buying at Publicis / Optimedia in Düsseldorf before joining Germany’s market-leading TV station RTL, and their media sales business IP.
In my last position at IP I was Sales Director with responsibility for Super-RTL, a highly successful joint venture between RTL’s parent company Bertelsmann and Disney.
My management and sales experience at Thames, Optimedia and RTL gave me great insight into the media sector, especially the German market. Having spent the majority of my life living and working in Germany, I am fluent in German.
In 1998 I left IP after seeing an important gap in the executive search market and in order to set up a specialised search business dedicated to finding the very best talent for companies in the media sector.
In a period of over twenty years, Associates International has serviced a wide range of leading media companies in all sectors of the business: TV, radio, outdoor, print and, increasingly, online. We have also worked for top clients on the advertising, media and design agency side of the business.
